CherryOStar Upload Pipeline — last updated 2026-07-05

This tool is a personal, single-user automation pipeline. It is not a public product, is not distributed to other users, and is operated by one individual for one specific purpose: managing the CherryOStar YouTube channel.

What data this tool accesses

Through Google/YouTube OAuth, this tool requests:

• youtube.upload — to upload video files to the CherryOStar channel.
• youtube and youtube.force-ssl — to manage those uploaded videos (title, description, privacy status, thumbnails, captions).
• yt-analytics.readonly — to view basic channel analytics (views, comments, subscriber counts) so the channel owner can monitor activity.

This tool only ever connects to the single Google Account and single YouTube channel it was authorized against. It does not request or access Gmail, Drive, Photos, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service or account.

How this data is used

Solely to upload and manage video content on the CherryOStar channel and to let the channel owner monitor that channel's activity. Nothing is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating this one channel.

How data is stored

OAuth credentials are stored locally on the operator's own device, in a file with permissions restricted to the device owner. Video files are staged locally on that same device before upload, and currently remain there afterward as part of the operator's own local file history — they are not uploaded anywhere else, sold, or shared, and are only ever accessible to the device's owner.

Data retention and revocation

Access can be revoked at any time by the channel owner via Google Account → Security → Third-party access. Revoking access immediately stops this tool from being able to upload or read anything.

Children's content

The CherryOStar channel features a minor as on-camera talent. The channel itself is owned and operated by an adult family member's Google Account (a Brand Account), not by the minor. This tool does not prompt for, request, or specifically collect names, addresses, school information, or any other identifying details about the minor. It stores the video files themselves and any short caption text sent alongside them (used only as a draft video title), both visible only to the device owner, and nothing beyond what the family already chooses to send and publish.
